You only need $100 to open an account initially, but will need to despite at least that amount for the next 6 months in order to keep it open. If you don’t, they will close your account, so be sure you can make this commitment beforehand. I wouldn’t recommend this, just because you can always get a better ROI on a stock or mutual fund when you know what you’re doing. Bank accounts should really be just a temporary holding place for your money in between investments.
